GTA 6 Trailer Prompts Fond Memory of GTA Vice City

It's funny how certain moments stick with you, isn't it? The end of October 2002 saw the arrival of the iconic Grand Theft Auto: Vice City on the PlayStation 2, and that release is vividly etched in my memory. I was 25 at the time, navigating my job at a Staples Copy Center in Winchester, Virginia. I distinctly recall a co-worker, clearly buzzing with anticipation, making a beeline for the local game shop, intent on trading in his Sega Dreamcast and a stack of games to snag a PS2 and, of course, Vice City.

That memory resurfaced with a jolt today, thanks to the unexpected drop of a Grand Theft Auto VI trailer. There's just something undeniably GTA about the series – a certain atmosphere, a particular brand of mayhem, and a specific tone that's instantly recognizable. This new trailer, even in its early stages, managed to capture that quintessential "feel," instantly transporting me back to the excitement surrounding Vice City's launch and my colleague's determined quest to experience it.

It's a testament to Rockstar's consistent ability to nail that unique GTA vibe, which was missing in the first trailer. I'm glad to see it back here.
